Millions of innocent, little children suffer the worst nightmares on earth every day. And so many of us are unaware that it’s happening. Or worse, we just want to ignore it because it hurts our sensibilities.
It’s time this darkness comes to light. To share the stories of these poor children and what they’ve gone through. Some of their stories will never see the light of day and will be buried with them. Tragic beyond words. The more we know, the more we can save them.
Unfortunately, there are many people in high status or high-power positions who participate in these crimes against humanity. It can be difficult to get the help we need when police, priests, politicians, teachers and other people in positions of authority are the perpetrators of such horrible acts.
It’s even worse when the parents or guardians, themselves, are the offenders. When the very people who are the stewards to protect, care and love these children become their violent attackers, it’s a never-ending nightmare these poor children have little chance of escaping.
Our only hope in society is to be constantly aware and take action if you see or know something. Start or find groups who you have faith are definitely helpers of children and contact them if you suspect an innocent child is being abused. And we need laws that imprison people for life if they harm children like this.
